Since its fun to speculate:
I'd expect a release date in 2010, based on an 18month churn since v6.
I'd expect lots of new features to be focussed on multimedia so options to publish to web, phones and ipad/kindle things.
I get the feeling Quark are abandoning the small designer's print design market to Adobe and are only interested in the big players, I hope I'm wrong on this one
I'm hoping for native transparency IN and OUT of quark.
I'm hoping for color mapping and a separations preview.
It would also be great to get layer and opacity control over placed Illy and Photoshop layers.
I'm expecting an exciting new interface and the need to re-learn all the modifier keys.
