Ace_Tip #3: "Custom shapes" reflexion |
|
If you ever find yourself in a position where you need to mirror a custom shape, here a short procedure to help you with the process:
Platform: Mac and PC
Applications:: Quark XPress
XTensions: none
- Make sure the Item > Edit > Shape option is not checked.
- To create an horizontal reflextion:
- Copy the width of your shape from the measurement palette.
- Drag the right (or left) bounds of your shape across its opposite side.
You should end up with your shape flipped horizontally but distorted.
- Paste the copied width back into the measurement palette.
- To create a vertical reflextion:
- Copy the height of your shape from the measurement palette.
- Drag the top (or bottom) bounds of your shape across its opposite side.
You should end up with your shape flipped vertically but distorted.
- Paste the copied height back into the measurement palette.
Voilà!
