Savings on non edited PDF-files.
« on: June 09, 2007, 04:22:47 PM »
Hi there!

(in Acrobat Pro) on one particular machine I have this odd behaviour: opened PDF docs (that are not edited) when closing I keep getting the ask for save message. Already reinstalled. Of course I can hit cmd-d, yet it is a bit annoying to have this every time.

Any ideas, am I missing something?

TIA, Erwin

Are you running a Pitstop Profile check?
This would possibly "fix" something, causing the file to think its modified.

Well, not that I am aware of (automatical is off), also it appears not to occur in all PDF files, though a lot of them. I think you're on the right hand that Pitstop has to do with.

Anyway, i'm on the path of a complete archive and install of the particular G5 and some applications, (the machine seems somewhat unstable, still after the normal fixing procedures) so I will cleanup Acrobat and Pitstop again. See if that helps.
