Michel, thanks. I'm at the mercy of an external company for our company PC support, they put in a new server lost the spam white-list, have turned spam protection on and off so many times my head hurts, today I'm getting practically nothing, and being on a mac can't do anything but read and complain to them.

larsen67, i'll put you back as a friend later today, promise :-*, I'm still not seeing any fans or watchers in my profile :'(

Glenn, I have added friends, posts & sections with sharing options turned on and can't see what this is supposed to do!!! I get the dialog stating it will take 10 minutes to do but do what?

Ok so now when I click on your profile I see a bunch of friends like I did when clicking on my profile, I guess you have to share your fans and friends or other users can't see how popular you are. Michel's karma button makes so much more sense.

Glenn, I would have to agree. Unless Im doing this wrong I can score a thread by adding those star things but not rate the individual who helped. I much prefer the system here. I also made a little Avatar as animated gif but it won't work you just get the first frame (oh well never mind it will do for now).

Any improvement with the latest update of Safari (3.1.1)?

It means that you need to supply a "web path" to your avatar. There is a number free web solution that will let you upload a picture that you can point to.

I recall trying web sharing in my system prefs once before but I was not able to access the URL when cut and paste to by browser. Im presuming this is being blocked by our network at some point. Its no big deal

if you right click on the web page image you can Copy image address, then paste into Michel's URL field.
Its got to be already hosted on the web somewhere.
