Thanks for the warm welcome Michel. That little bit on the condensing is just the tip of the iceberg. I hope to share more and solicit ideas on how to further develop the logic.

If anything, you could start by posting it here as it is afterall an XData solution.

Hi I've been using xdata for 6 years, I've used it for so many different projects its a real life saver and I have made catalogues in 2 days which historically took 6 months.

I use it a lot, but wish I could persuade more customers to supply us with clean, structured data, then I could use it more!

Do you use XCatalog too? That's great as we can price a catalogue of 360 pages in a few hours.

we get around the customer problem by having programmers to export the data cleanly for me.  makes it far easier.

I do use xcatalog aswell and I use it within xdata so not only can I update prices but I can pretty much re-language a whole job at the touch of a button or even change all the part numbers.  they are great tools and couldnt do my job without them.

my current project is being put into a spread sheet database "after" I've completed itů Im currently making my own clean text files from various Quark documents it can take me most of the day to format a pages content a seconds to strip it in. Im having a real fun time, text is really not my thing and keying in soooo much content is driving me mad.
