[SOLVED] Open without dialogue
« on: March 31, 2011, 07:50:13 AM »
Anyone know how to open an ID file without the 'missing links/missing fonts' messages popping up? Something like 'remap fonts no' in Quark....

Thanks!

For anyone who is looking at this post, I also came across some advice to set the user interaction level of script preferences back to interact with all towards the end of the script.

For instance, here is a script I have which sets the user interaction of script level preferences to never interact, creates an IDML file from an InDesign file and then sets the user interaction of script level preferences to interact with all right after the IDML file is created.

Quote
on open droppedfile
tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2014" to activate
   repeat with afile in droppedfile
tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2014"
set user interaction level of script preferences to never interact
         open afile
set doc_path to the file path of active document
set doc_name to get name of active document as string
         set idml_name to text 1 thru -6 of doc_name
         set idml_destination to (doc_path as string) & idml_name & ".idml"
         tell active document
export format InDesign markup to idml_destination
            close afile saving no
         end tell
set user interaction level of script preferences to interact with all
      end tell
   end repeat
end open
